Sorry we have not been able to post until now. We couldn't get internet at our hotel in Memphis Friday night, and I don't even think the TOWN we stayed in last night in Texas had internet! I've published some posts with a few pics, but have not updated the shutterfly photo album yet.
We have driven over 1500 miles and are in Santa Fe, NM now. Yesterday was our LONG driving day; we covered 700+ miles (from Memphis, TN to Shamrock, TX). The kids did great, beyond our expectations (to be honest, mine were pretty low!) We drove through a LOT of Ike rain in Arkansas and Oklahoma, but were determined to get to TX because we wanted to avoid Ike's visit to AR & OK.
We were able to see some fun Route 66 landmarks today, I'll have to tell you about it later, because I have 4 hungry people waiting on me!

Good morning all. I am happy to see you made it through Ike. I was a bit worried that it would slow you down, but it doesn't seem to have. It is great to hear of all your adventures, I am sure the kids are loving it. Well I better head off to help take care of your patients, can't wait to read more of your trip.
