You Wanna Bet?

Don't worry, we're not talking money here. We just thought it would be fun for people to make their predictions / best guesses about the upcoming road trip. For example, Tim Waters said he gives us until Birmingham (or was it Atlanta?) before we turn around! That's okay, it may actually help give David's & my competitive spirits the extra push when the going gets tough (or loud, or cranky & whiny).

So feel free to share, through the "Comments" in this post, your best guess on:
How long before the first Pit Stop?
What will the Trip-O-Meter read when we pull back in the driveway?
How many "Are we there yets?" Will we hear? Actually, scratch that one, we'll probably lose track!
Feel free to add another one.

One other note, we would LOVE and APPRECIATE your prayers for our family as we travel. We are looking forward to seeing God's awesome Creation and sharing it with you.

Okay, somehow I deleted my comment. It went something like this...

I say the first pit stop is just into Alabama.

And you will probably hear "how many more days til we get there?" an avg of twice per day. I'm sure Abby will add in a "why didn't we fly?" a time or two as well.

Your trip-o-meter will read "20 miles short of insanity" as you pull into the driveway

First pit stop will be before Alabama because someone will need to potty way before that!

"When can we stop?" and "She's touching me!" are some of my favorite car comments from my kids. I can't wait to hear your record of comments heard from the back seat! Don't you wish you could install a limo window between the adults and the backseat before you leave?

I predict that your trip-o-meter will read "I am not getting back in the car with anyone under the age of 20 for at least a month," when you get home.

Well I realized I don't even know which way you will be going to get to Huntsville, so I'll change my pit stop estimate to say about 2.5 hours into the trip. Just make your oldest NPO after midnight:)

And I think the best bet would be for you to tell us what time you plan on leaving Athens, and then we bet on what time you actually pull out of the driveway!
