Amy, David and the kids are officially on their way! We got a text saying they had boarded the plane, so they should be somewhere over the Atlantic right about now. Here are a few pictures from their first stop - Hartsfield Jackson International airport.
Luggage cart or people mover - you pick. Unfortunately they wouldn't let them take this through the security check point!
Here they are surrounded by all of their luggage - 12 bags to check and 10 to carry on. Phase one was a success! All 12 of the big bags were under the 50lb limit and all 10 of the small bags fit the carry on dimensions - whew!
Saying goodbye to family and heading into the security checkpoint.
So, do you think the Nationals will understand "Swahili with a southern drawl?!"
Right after I turned the camera off David's dad said, "Do you think they have a clue how much they are going to be changed?" That did not make it any easier to watch them go without us! But it was such a wonderful reminder of the power of this experience.
Thank you for loving them, supporting them, and praying for them. I know it means a lot to them, and it also means a lot to us as their family.
